Buddhism is one of the three major religions in the world. Buddhism in China has a very important position. Although state and government is always advocating to believe in the science, I do not think so. Many government officials believe the Buddhism. At the beginning, I believes the science. Because of my mother, I began to believe in the Buddhism. Mother believes in the Buddhism for many years, so she has a great influence on me.
My mother every day incenses at home and often helps in the temples. Since I believe in the Buddhism, I help in the temple with my mother if I have time.i in the temple, I helped to sell incense. I kept and counted the money carefully. Helping in the temple is very tired. However I like it and stay in the temple is very comfortable.

Act in a Performance

On July 10th, 2008, I became a moderator.A moderator who is famous in Nanjing host the party with me. Because my mother's buildings would to begin building ,so he and I had presided over the party to celebrate this thing. That day, many leaders and friends came together to celebrate it. This was my first time to host a party in front of so many people.
When I knew about this news, I got very pleased and excited. But I also started to worried about that. I had never presided over before and I had no experience and knowledge about that. If I said something wrong or forget what to say on the stage, how could I do? I kept planning this event for a long time and practiced it over and over again. It was the time to show and I was very nervous. The people who participated in the party were more than I imagined before. My hands and voice were shaking. Viewers encouraged me:” Do not be nervous and shy ,come on. More brave!” I was standing on stage and did a deep breath secretly. Then I felt much better. I finished the prologue loudly. Then I told viewers about the important guests, and interviewed them. I invited them to sing a song together. Finally, I tell viewers my feelings and I hope that they can continue to help my mother. I will learn hardly.
When the party ended ,a lot of people complimented me well. if I can be more confidence, I will be better. I also had the same feeling. By this activity, I felt that I am growing up. I know the importances of self-confidence

On April 27th, 2009, in GCA we held a exciting Fashion Show. All the students liked it and had fun with it. It started at 6:30p.m.and at 6p.m. I got excited and could not wait it any more. When I enter, I found how beautiful the environment it was. There were 11 letters on the black curtain. The letters were eye-catching, special and full of sense of fashion. The letters were FASHION SHOW.
All students participated in this show. The six presenters dressed very beautiful and handsome. lights were very beautiful and bright, and music very good. It made me feel like participating in a formal fashion show. All the models were beautiful and elegant The funnest guy was a boy who wore a skirt. He was like a girl. He also put bread in front of the chest and during the show he threw the bread. Our group was responsible for Ms.Leung to make clothes. When I saw teachers wear clothes that we designed for her , I got happy and excited. Ms.Leung wore the sapphire T-shirt and white shorts. In all the teachers, Ms.Chu was the best and most beautiful one. The light blue T-shirt match with jeans were very beautiful. Ms.Chu had beautiful body line and match these clothes just like a fairy. Ms.Chu’s walking was also very standard. Just like the Ms.Chu had done the models. If Ms.Chu could be taller, she will be the most beautiful model of Canada.
This event was holding very successful. I hope we can have the fashion show every year and I can become a model in the fashion show

Community Involvement & Employability Skills

Now, many people do work for money. However the main goal of work is to improve the city and make better life for human. So at this time, volunteer is very important for the community. I am proud of a volunteer for my mother’s company and a teacher for Beijing East Road Primary School. I think it is a very useful and valuable experience for me and it is helpful for my future and growth. I will not forget these thing, never.
During all my experiences that to be a volunteer, I think teaching students in Beijing East Road Primary School is the best one. At the very beginning, when I heard this news, I looked forward to it and I was excited. Because I wanted to be a teacher,when I was a little girl. It made me remind the interesting stories before. However ,at the same time I had a little worried. Because I did not have any experience of becoming a teacher. I even worried about that I forgot the primary school’s knowledge of English and I could not teach them well, I would make a bad example for them. Then it would effect their grade. I practised many times for this event. When I knew they had learned it before, I got more nervous. On Mar.25th, 2009, I came to Beijing East Road Primary School and I hoped I could meet a kind little guy. I also bought some candies. By observing other students, I think I was a lucky guy that day. The little girl who was taught by me, she was very lovely and hard-working. Although this knowledge she had has learned, she still reviewed it very carefully with me.The other guys were very loudly and noisy. They just wanted to play “uno” and did not any ideas of study. I found they were very excited to play game and my classmates seemed very reluctant to do play it and looked at teacher from time to time. If my child is like that girl, I will feel happy. After studying, I played uno with the little girl. Although we did not spend much time to play games, we still had good time. I think she was the best child in the world. Perhaps she was not more beautiful than other people , perhaps her grades were not better than others and perhaps she was not monitor, but she will be the most careful girl and she will have a better future. When the activity over ed ,the teacher say “be quiet”many time and the whole class became quiet. I gave she and her desk mate all the candies and took photos together.
By this activity, I know teachers are very poor and tired. They put a lot for their students but the student can not understand them and always make teacher angry. Maybe they are too Young and they do not have an ability to understand all the effort of teachers. However I am a teenage. I also make the same mistakes. Am I a little baby? No, I am growing up now. I must understand teachers. They always thing about us but we always let them despondent.
I also did volunteer job at my mother’s company. Because the mother has not found a suitable secretary, she is very busy and often confusion, can not find anything. I spent Sunday to help her organize documents. Because I was her daughter, she was assured about me. Because my mother has three companies and the documents are more, I should sort and record the documents. I need to record the relevant information of each file on a log. I am very cautious when I do things.
By doing volunteer work, I know do anything must be responsible and cautious. Those experiences are very useful for my future.

Valentine's Day is February 14th . At that day, I and my friends went to visit Nanjing Museum exhibition. Nanjing Museum is located at No. 321 Zhongshan East Road, Nanjing, so we can find easily. Because I had been there, in my opinion that is a good place to know Chinese culture. As the result, I decided to visit that again. This time, the main display that we visited was Ancient Chinese Jade Exhibition. Nanjing Museum jade gallery is by the time the order, exhibited a total of more than 600 pieces of exquisite jade, showed eight thousand years long history of human civilization. The history of jade play an important role for our understanding of rich jade culture provides a platform.
Here, we can admire ancient jade ornaments, the palaces handed down luxury goods and so on. One of my favorite jade was Jade Suite Threaded with Silver. It found Tushan, Xuzhou ,Jiangsu and it made in Eastern Han A.D. 2nd Century. It was made by many pieces of silver jade. It is one of the most famous funerary goods and dead people wear that. In ancient times, only the very rich or the aristocracy can wear it and buried with the dead person. It was a long time buried in soil, but still very beautiful and fresh. It shows that China is country with a long history and were good at creating.
Chinese jade with its unique charm, attracting the eyes of the people of the world. However it also gradually become a common wealth of mankind. I should be to a modern person who have knowledge and continues to flourish the Chinese culture.

Cultural Awareness

Eating western food is a wonderful thing! On the morning of Feb.14th, I had a romantic meal with my friend, because that day was Valentine's Day. We ate Italian food. That is a beautiful restaurant. It is near the Xin Hua Book Shop, so I can find that easily. The restaurant is called “Bella Napoli”. That is Italian. It means the beautiful Napoli. My friend told me it is first authentic Italian restaurant in Nanjing, so we decided to eat here.
In the restaurant, we ordered spaghetti, macaroni, pizza with seafood and cheese and ice-cream. It taste well. Different flavors in different food make me feel comfortable when I ate. Most of the flavors that I have not seen before. The food looked very simple, do not have any ornament. However, it delicacy and fresh. That is the differences between Chinese food and Italian food.
The restaurant is European classical and modern architecture. Light is natural, soft and very beautiful. Environment is spacious, warm and comfortable. The whole restaurant is fulling of the combination of traditional and modern, so that the whole environment a modern, elegant and perfect. In the restaurant, some people is foreign people. When people ate, it is very quiet. Just the sound of speak but it is very low. We sit in the end of the restaurant,so when we eat, when can see the foreign cook are cooking delicious food clearly. The service is good and all the waiters and waitresses are bilingual. I think Bella Napoli is the window of world's food culture spread. The different cultures and habits of the East and the West mutual blend at this place and also the place that enjoy the fashionable live. I like Bella Napoli and I would recommend other people to eat there. I want to eat here again.

Helping people is a happy thing, especially when doing unpaid volunteer work. In this year, I did two different kinds of volunteer work, one was for Christmas to helped the class adorn classroom with other classmates, and the other was in my mother's company to print and collate documents. All the work seemed very simple, in fact, when I was doing work, I encounter a lot of trouble, let me crazy. However, I had not given up, it was necessary for me to refuel!
That was a very interesting and happy day.On Dec.18th, 10-D and 10-E, they destroyed our class layout of classrooms, a mess everywhere, so I was very angry. Finally we had no choice but to re-adorned the classroom. That day is a Thursday, we can left school at 16:15p.m. Because the New Year party of all GCA students, our class programs is “Snow White” that a large-scale drama, almost the entire class were involved in the performance. Many students had to attend rehearsals. At last, there were only a few students still stayed in the class, and I was one of them. Therefore we decided to re- adorn the classroom. Nevertheless, we must clean up the destruction of the classroom with other students. When we were trying very hard to clean the classroom, at same time, I also discovered that in the past classmates have not been properly cleaning the classroom. Finally cleaned up, we all a little tired, but the big problems came to us. How should we adorn the classroom? Teacher told us, “the previous class used cotton and rope stick on the ceiling and walls to adorn the classroom, there was a feeling like snow. And then blowed some balloons, it can give people a festive feeling.”Balloons!! We can use a balloon instead of cotton. Used the balloon to stick on the wall around the classroom.It could be very good. So we started to division of labor. Some people went out to buy a lot of balloons, some was out to buy double-sided tape and other tools, and the other students used original ribbon to adorn the ceiling. Begin to take action, no one was idle. The end of rehearsals, classmates all came back, at the same time balloons were bought back. 10-C all students blowed balloons! Everyone acted fast,but I am a timid person.I am most afraid of balloons. I think the balloon could be very dangerous explosion. Everyone in the happy balloon blowing, and I hid outside the classroom. Suddenly there is a balloon explosion, a loud noise. I am scared and quickly fled downstairs. After a while, I saw everyone run to the bathroom. Balloon faded colours,their mouth were colourful!So funny! It was late, it was already 18:00 o'clock, everybody gradually returned the home, the excitement of the classroom has become a quiet. Now, the job was to finish adorning work. One students collected balloons, made the same colour balloons together, two students made the same colour balloons stick together with double-sided tape, and the other one stood on the table and took the balloon stick to the wall. Another three students made ribbon was like "M. Christmas" and sticked at the back wall. Unconsciously on to 20:30, we did not have to eat dinner and have to go home. Fortunately the work is fully completed! Coincidence that the day is my birthday, a special birthday night!
In my mother company, the work was much easier but a little boring.I printed document and also needed to collect.I did this work a long time.Because it was too boring, I did work not very carefully, so I often made mistakes. Mom told me, “Doing everything need take a sense of responsibility, be patient, do not be so anxious,” I thought these words were very useful.I remembered that and efficiency of work got better.
In china, we have a saying, “Public collection of firewood high flame”It means more people can do work more and better.Don’t forget responsibility and patient are also very important.
